Mr. Jodeit has been a member of the Board of Education since 2001. Among some of his outside activities, he has been the race director for the United Way Kick-Off Classic from 1994 to 2003, a member of the Convention Days 10K and 5K Race Committee from 1998 to the present, a Waterloo Recreation Center Soccer coach, and Board Member/Treasurer of the Syracuse Quarter Midget Club. Some of his goals as a Board of Education member include transitioning the new superintendent into the District, evaluation of the current elementary education structure to determine the future direction, develop a Technology Plan that gives our student the best educational opportunities in technology, and continue to challenge the budget to insure that the community continues to receive "the best district for the dollar." Thomas O'Connor 2263 Burgess Rd. Waterloo, NY 13165 (315) 539-3596 Term Ends: 6/2010 Mr. O'Connor is a 1982 graduate of Waterloo Central School, a 1984 graduate of Herkimer County Community College, and a 1987 graduate of SUNY Oswego. He is employed by New Your State Parole. Mr. O'Connor is married and has three children attending Waterloo Central Schools.   He has assisted and coached with both boys and girls lacrosse at youth and modified levels. He is Vice President of the Waterloo Board of Education for the past two years and has been a member of the Board for five years.	Thomas O'Connor
Kathleen Oldfield 308 West Main Street Waterloo, NY 13165 (315) 539-8961 Term Ends: 2009 A third-generation Waterloo native, Ms. Oldfield has been involved with education her entire adult life. After graduating from Waterloo High School, she entered Marietta College in Ohio where she earned a degree in English Literature. Returning to Waterloo in September of 1970 to continue her teaching career at the middle school, she remained there until June of 2002 at which time she retired. Not willing to abandon education in retirement, she made a successful bid for a seat on the Waterloo Board of Education in 2003. She recently was voted another three-year term on the BOE. A long time member of Delta Kappa Gamma (a teachers’ honorary organization), she has volunteered at LaFayette Intermediate School for the last two years working with Mrs. Elizabeth Wolff, a fourth grade teacher. Ms. Oldfield also serves on the Waterloo Library and Historical Society Fund Raising Committee. She has pledged that the students of our District will receive the best possible educational opportunities given the constraints of our size, our location, and the depressed economy of upstate New York. Among her other goals are to help effect a smooth transition for our District as a new Superintendent begins his administration, and to maintain and monitor fiscal matters keeping a close eye on the economy. One interesting fact about her is that she has been involved as either a student, teacher, or board member in every single WCSD superintendent’s administration since the position was created. He is married and has two children attending Waterloo schools. He has been employed at Goulds Pumps/ITT for the last 27 years. He has been involved with the youth of Waterloo for the last 20 years.
