Scholarship Information

    The following scholarships are available in the counseling office.  Some deadline are happening soon!  See your counselor for more information. 

     

    Seneca County Children’s Committee (deadline April 13)

    Students pursuing any type of higher education full time may apply for a scholarship.  Selection of scholarship winners is based on:

    • Financial need
    • Character and involvement in the community
    • Academic potential

    Student must mail completed application in by Friday, April 13.  Complete application in the counseling office.

     

    The James H. Rice Memorial Scholarship (two scholarships awarded in the amount of $1,000)

    The James H. Rice Memorial Scholarship offers financial assistance and recognition to high school seniors in the counties of Ontario, Seneca and Yates. 

    Requirements:

    • 2018 graduate
    • 87 numerical average
    • Completed application
    • 2 letters of reference

    Applications are in the counseling office.  Completed applications are due on or before Friday April 6, 2018

     

    The Matthew R. Row Scholarship

    The Matthew R. Row Scholarship Foundation mission is to provide educational scholarships to students in WNY who have lost a parent/guardian and assist their families with their loss.  More information is available in the counseling office or you can go to their website at www.runforrow.org.  Please see a counselor for questions. 

     

    Zonta Club of Geneva 2018 Memorial Fund Scholarship (Deadline March 29, 2018)

    • Any female senior enrolled in a full or part time degree-seeking program. 
    • Must demonstrate goals and ideals similar to those stated in Zonta’s objectives.
    • Application must be returned to the School Counseling Office by March 29 at 2:00pm

     

    2018 NYWEA (NYS Water Environment Association) Scholarship deadline Feb 28

    The New York Water Environment Association is a non-profit educational organization of water professionals promoting sustainable clean water quality management through science, education and training.  We offer $50,000 in scholarships, including an Environmental Career scholarship of $10,000, as well as Nicholas J. Bartilucci scholarship ($5,000) and general scholarships ($2,500).  Go to  www.nywea.org/scholarship for further details and online application.  More information in the counseling office. 

     

     

    SAANYS Region 11---College Scholarship Award

    *More information in the Counseling office*

    Graduating seniors are urged to write a 500 hundred-word essay on the following topic:"A School Administrator Who Has Made a Difference in My Life"

    Entries due March 1, 2018.

    NYSIR (NYS Insurance Reciprocal) deadline April 4  

    The Cristin Bambino scholarship

    • The Bambino scholarship is available to a special education student who is college-bound. The goal of the scholarship is to reward a student who has worked through his or her special challenges to complete high school and gain acceptance at a college or university.

    The Paul Jensen scholarship

    • The Jensen scholarship is available to a student who has excelled in design in his or her high school career. The goal of the scholarship is to reward a student who has shown interest and promise in design and who wishes to pursue that path in college.

    The Goncalves Scholarship

    • The Goncalves Scholarship is available to a student who demonstrates an involvement and work for a cause or organization that promotes social justice, equal opportunity, relief of human suffering or other aspiration generally understood to be within the meaning of humanitarian activity. 

    Application can be downloaded from the website www.nysir.org or are available in the counseling office.  Applications should be postmarked no later than Wednesday, April 4

     

    OTTC Ontario and Trumansburg Telephone Companies (deadline April 20th in the counseling office)

    Griswold Telephone Scholarship Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Engineering, IT or Telecommunications.  Applications are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the counseling office by 2:00pm on April 20th.  See your counselor for details. 

     

    Jackie Robinson Foundation (deadline Feb 1)

    The JRF application is the vehicle through which more than 4,000 talented young minority high school students apply to become JRF Scholars and carry on the civic-minded legacy of the Foundation’s namesake, Jackie Robinson.  More information can be found at www.jackierobinson.org or in the counseling office. 

     

    Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program

    Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 11th year.

    We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

    Scholarship Deadline   -  June 14, 2018.

    Application Process
