The mission of Skoi-Yase Primary School's Counseling Program is to help ALL students become respectful, caring and responsible citizens by helping them gain the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve academic, personal/social, and career success.  

What does an Elementary School Counselor do and what types of things can a counselor help with?

Mrs. Bryant works with students individually and also in small groups, as well as facilitating classroom guidance lessons on a variety of topics.  

Mrs. Bryant can provide support services to address a number of issues, including (though certainly not limited to) the following:

*Anger Management

*Social Skills

*Coping Skills

*Separation/Divorce/Family Changes

*Friendship Skills

*Grief & Loss

*Self-Esteem

*Anxiety 

*Behavior Modification

 

How does a student see the counselor?
Students can see Mrs. Bryant via a self-referral, parental request, and or teacher/administrative referral.
