Waterloo Teachers' Resource Center Mission:
"To support educators' professional growth thus helping students to meet or to exceed the New York State Standards."
The 1st 20 years, the WTRC was funded through NYS Grants until the 2010-2011 school year when the money was no longer included in the NYS budget. The WTRC was supported that year by the Waterloo School District as a professional resource for all Waterloo Staff.
Since 2011-2012, Teacher Center funding was restored through the NYS budget although at a lesser amount. The Waterloo School District continues to support the WTRC by providing a space for the Center's operation. All other funding comes from the Annual Grant. Without the District's support, the WTRC would not exist.
The WTRC offers Academic Resources, a Professional Library, and Professional Development Workshops to support the goals of the school district as well as the needs of the instructional staff.
