Eleven Students Selected For Tri-M Music Honor Society

The Waterloo High School chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society welcomed 11 new members during its seventh annual induction ceremony on Oct. 21.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NafME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy.

Students accepted into Tri-M must perform in a musical ensemble, have an overall grade point average of at least 80 percent, maintain a GPA of 90 percent in their music classes and complete a service project related to music.

The 2024-25 induction class consists of Andi Corsner, Hazel Enslow, Nicole Harris, Alexandria Higginbotham, Emily Howard, Aiden Humphrey, Mason O’Connell, Danielle Poorman, Kloi White-Shoots, Jonah Williams and Kaitlin Wilson.

Mr. George Ross, a retired Waterloo music teacher, was honored as a Tri-M Honorary Life Member.

Club officers are Nathan Robson (president), Olivia Lyon (vice president), Violet Enslow (secretary), Marina Lyon (treasurer) and Bergren Aunkst-Park (historian).

Other continuing members are Brigit Bowman, Andrew Dressing, Savannah Fish, Simone Gillotti, Jacob Griffiths, Xiao Yan Huang, Kayleigh Hubbard, Ryan King, Jaylyn Ticconi, Isabella Vanni and Alexis Westmoreland.

The chapter advisor is Mr. Ryan McKenna.
