The Waterloo High School chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) added 20 new members to its ranks on the evening of Nov. 3. Inducted students must meet a set of criteria in four pillars of achievement: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

The induction ceremony included an address from guest speaker Mr. Scott Maloney, who serves as the department chair for math instruction at Waterloo High School and head coach for the varsity football team. NHS inductee Andi Corsner sang a rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, with piano accompaniment by Nicholas DeMillo.
