Waterloo High School Makes Sizable Contribution to Seneca County Community Christmas Project:

It has become a holiday tradition for the students and staff at Waterloo High School to arrange a sizable donation of money and gifts to those in need throughout Seneca County. This year, the school donated over 3,000 gift items – including gift wrap, toys, books, mittens, scarves, and more – and over $1,000 to the Seneca County Community Christmas Project, an organization that prepares Christmas gifts for over 1,300 people. The school also “adopted” 50 children by buying gifts on each child’s wish list.

All of these items were loaded onto a delivery truck by members of the Waterloo High School chapter of the National Honor Society, and dropped off to the SCCCP in time to spread joy on Christmas morning.

The school fostered participation by having students pair off into teams to bring in the most items. The winning teams included Cody Grinnell and Destiny Parker; Axel Dressing and Nathan DiSanto; Kelcey Scott and Anna Gray; Jaidyn Ellison and Olivia James; and Gwyn Panek and Tangel Williams. These pairs competed for the fun opportunity to be named “Principal and Assistant Principal for the Day” at the school’s holiday assembly.
