National Honor Society Welcomes New Inductees
The Waterloo High School chapter of National Honor Society inducted 25 new members during a ceremony on Monday, Nov. 7.
Candidates are selected based on the four pillars of National Honor Society: Service, Character, Scholarship and Leadership.
New members from the senior class are: James Clough, Lily Mager, Colleen Pigman, Christina Ross, Isabella Rothfuss, Marissa Russell, Kaleb Stanzak and Sunshine Tackett.
New members from the junior class are: Mia Arar, Dylan Bienvenue, Alexis Carbone, Giana DeLucia, Ava DiSanto, Kendra Donnelly, Riley Everett, Rosemary Garafalo, Miles Gray, Kaitlyn Hubbard, Madecyn Hurdle, Christina Laird, Hayden Linehan, Lily Linehan, Gabriella Smith, Alex Verdehem and Jae Wu.
NHS President Noah Barber welcomed the new members and guests to the ceremony and officers John Sibolsky (vice president), Chase Robson (treasurer), Logan Amidon (recording secretary) and Mckenzie Scutt (corresponding secretary) spoke on the scholarship, service, leadership and character.
Mr. Don Moore, a substitute teacher at Waterloo High School, served as guest speaker.
In addition to the officers, returning members are: Daniel Acquilano, Casey Burcoff, Amelia Burm, Morgan Caraballo, Natalie DiSanto, Noelle Gillotti, Jazzmyn Lewis, Aryanna Mateo, Skylar Matello, Connor McCann, Miranda McGloon, Petra O’Connor, Sabrina Palmer, Gavin Roberts, Patrick Showers and Kaleb Swartley.
Club advisers are Kim Lucas and Kris McGuane.
